Transitional General Licensees Must Renew Their Licence by June 30, 2021

Transitional General Licensees Must Renew Their Licence by June 30, 2021

This is a reminder that in May, the Ontario government extended the deadline for Transitional General Licensees to complete the education and exam requirements to apply for a General Licence by May 31, 2022. This change allows current Transitional General Licensees to renew their licence for one more year as part of the 2021–22 licence renewal cycle. If you have not done so already, you must apply to renew your Transitional General Licence if you plan on providing condominium management services.

The CMRAO will accept renewal applications until 11:59 p.m. on June 30. To submit your application for renewal, you will need to login to your CMRAO account. Once you are logged in, select “Licences” and then select the “Renew” button to begin your application for renewal.

Reverifying your CMRAO account before renewing your licence

In December 2020, the CMRAO changed the login process for accessing all CMRAO accounts. Previously, logging in required a username and password, but now you may access your CMRAO account using the email address associated with your account and a password. If you have not yet updated your CMRAO account with our new email login process, you will be required to do so before renewing your licence. All current holders of a CMRAO account must complete a one-time account verification. To verify your account, please follow the instructions or view the instructional video.

CMRAO staff are available to assist and answer questions at any point during the licence renewal process. Please contact us at info@cmrao.ca, or visit the CMRAO website for additional information.
